The BIPP/Family Violence Program at Emergence Health Network is certified as a Texas Department of Criminal Justice Battering Intervention and Prevention Provider (BIPP) is accredited by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Community Justice Assistance Division. In the program, batterers will learn how to interact without the use of violence and learn to identify accountability for their behaviors. The curriculum offers services in which the primary approach is direct intervention with batterers in a group format that holds batterers accountable for their abusive behavior. The program is focused on ending violence, holding batterers accountable for their violence, abusive behaviors, and keeping victims safe. Groups are provided in both English and Spanish. They are also separate for men and women.
